Andrew Douglas
Founder + Managing Director
Andrew Douglas is Founder and Managing Director of Kandui Technologies. His background has included stints within Government organisations, not for profits, and the commercial sector with a focus on finding innovative solutions to challenging environmental and social problems.
Andrew’s drive saw him build a successful partnership with SMaRT Centre @ UNSW, leading Kandui to become the first MICROfactorie™ licensee and exclusive manufacturer of Green Ceramics.

Andrew’s commitment to the circular economy and positive social impact has been recognised with a Premiers Award for Environmental Excellence, Australian Social Enterprise of the Year and an AWRE Innovation Award.

Andrew has been a guest speaker and presenter at numerous events including, the NSW Industrial Ecology Forum, International Sustainability Symposium, Australia - Korea Joint Sustainability Conference on Recycling Technologies and World Resource Forum.
He holds Post Graduate qualifications in Social Impact from the Australian School of Business at UNSW and Diploma in Management from the Australian College of Commerce.

Ryan Fritsch
Chief Operating Officer
Originally from the US, Ryan spent 10 years working around the world as a bomb defusal expert in the military, transitioning to business after completing his MBA in Barcelona Spain from IESE.
Ryan has a background in sales, finance, and operations in a variety of industries in B2B and B2C companies across Europe and APAC in director and C-suite level roles.

John Ceresa
Chief Financial Officer
John Ceresa is Chief Financial Officer of Kandui Technologies. He is Chartered Accountant and has held Executive Financial and Management positions in ASX Listed, Multinational, and Privately owned organisations.

John has extensive experience in Branded Consumer Goods, B2B and Retail, and has a deep knowledge of international supply chains from product concept through to the customer.

John holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and is a Chartered Accountant (Australia and NZ).

Terry Froggatt
Chief Compliance and Organisational Learning Officer
Terry is committed to evidenced based organisational learning and development. Providing innovative and learner focused seminars and programs which facilitate; mental health, organizational learning, knowledge transfer, management of change, organizational culture, management, and leadership development.
Terry has extensive managerial experience. Terry is a Senior Honorary Fellow and PhD Supervisor at the University of Wollongong and was Head – Health and Social Wellbeing and Director of Academic Business Development at the Nan Tien Institute. Terry was appointed as Dean and Professor to the Australian College of Community and Health Services.
Terry holds formal qualifications and accreditations in psychological type and emotional intelligence. Terry is an accomplished researcher and is published in several health and management books and journals and holds a PhD, on the topic of Learning Organisations. Terry has international experience assisting organisations in the growth and development of their people. Terry has worked collaboratively, with academics and practitioners’, in Australia and overseas, in the field of organisational leadership, culture and climate and leadership.
Terry is currently undertaking a Double Diploma in Compliance and Quality Auditing whilst holding the position of Chief Compliance and Organizational Learning Officer at Kandui Technologies.

Justine Fitzgibbon
Marketing and Communications Director
Justine’s career has predominately been working within the recycling sector with a strong focus on textile recycling.

She has broad B2B and B2C marketing and communications experience from working with start-ups to large format retailers and not for profit organisations. Extensive retail background with a strong focus on people and business development; marketing, this includes sales and advertising campaigns; merchandising; in-store messaging; and customer experience, online and in-store.
Justine has been involved with the EPA Illegal Dumping working group and member of the National Association of Charitable Recycling Organisation. She holds qualifications in Dip. of Multimedia (Graphic Design); Dip. Of Business Management; and Cert IV. in Training and Assessment.

Osama Salim
Project Manager
Osama joined the SMaRT Centre at UNSW in 2018 where he played an integral role in the development of Green Ceramics. In 2022 he joined Kandui Technologies, bringing his expertise to the role of Project Manager. Osama has an interdisciplinary background in recycling, metallurgy, energy storage and water purification. His more recent work focuses on transforming waste glass, plastics and textiles into sustainable and value-added products.
In 2020 Osama obtained his Master of Engineering (Research) in Materials Science and Engineering, UNSW Sydney. During his research, Osama maintained an international collaboration with the Qatar Environmental and Energy Research Institute (QEERI) under the Hamad Bin Khalifa University. His Masters research chiefly targeted the use of 2D materials including graphene and MXene as electrodes and membranes for energy storage and water purification purposes.
Osama also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Material Science and Engineering, CEG Anna University, 2017. Furthermore, he is an accomplished researcher and is published in Materials Today Chemistry and Materials Today Energy.
